Pride

Elleisse leant on the wooden fence of the sand arena. The day was blustery, yet incredibly hot. She was keeping an eye on her newest addition, a Mustang that a friend of Ron's in America had been wanting to sell.

The mare was very pretty, a bright sorrel with birdcatcher spots, but she had alot of energy. Elleisse didn't know where the mustang got it all. The grassy paddocks were all occupied by IHR horses enjoying the last of the summer sun, so she had had to be put into the sand arena.

She darted from place to place, kicking up dust, prancing joyfully like a foal. Ron's friend had said she was unrideable, a mental mare that if you gave and inch, would take a mile. Elleisse smiled. She would have to find this out for herself....
